It has become a tradition (even though it's only done a few times a year) to make homemade donuts using store bought biscuit dough. The kids enjoy using a water bottle lid to make holes in the middle of the dough. We get the oil ready, cook a few at a time, and sprinkle them with cinnamon and sugar or use frosting. This time I made a maple chocolate frosting that was very tasty. The end result is just a warm, tasty breakfast treat that never fails to disappear before they can cool off.
